We hit the Toronto Zoo at opening and it was pure chaos—gorillas judging us, pandas being gloriously lazy, and my kid getting soaked at the splash pad within five minutes because I forgot a change of clothes. The place is massive (my feet are still mad at me), but the Zoomobile saved our butts when we couldn't walk anymore, and watching penguins torpedo through the water while eating squished sandwiches on a bench was oddly perfect. Exhausted, sunburned, and slightly poorer from the gift shop, but my son was already asking to go back before we even left the parking lot—totally worth it.
